Catherine Poynter, ASEL

Catherine, the owner of Highland Heyday is an associate member of the American Society of Estate Liquidators. With twenty years in education as a high school English teacher, she is a mother to two wonderful daughters (and three cats), and lives in beautiful Asheville, NC with her partner, Sean.
She is strongly committed to keeping Western North Carolina beautiful by minimizing the amount of waste added to the landfills. As such, she only partners with companies that reuse, recycle, resell or repurpose the majority of materials that she removes from estates.
She is also a firm believer in the saying "be the change you wish to see in the world" and supports local charities, women's shelters and churches with donations from the estates she services when it is a possibility. She and her partner donate vegetables from their plot in the Dr. John Wilson Community Garden to the nonprofit food bank and food education program, Black Mountain's Bounty and Soul.

Marcia Shaffer
Move Management Consultant
Marcia is a five year veteran of home organization and move management business with Key Associates (two years in Charlotte and three years in Hendersonville). She loves making a positive impact on the community, and is a board member of The Friends of Carl Sandburg at Connemara. She currently resides in Hendersonville, NC with her two cats, Duncan and Paco.
Marcia has a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree and a Masters in Education which are evident in her passion for design and organization. She has an eye for color, placement and interior design, and is an empathetic and caring person.
